URMA Work Plan
URMA is a 2 year project organized around 8 technical work packages as follows
WP1 : Project Control and Reporting
Objectives: Plan, organize and manage resources to achieve all of the project goals and objectives, respecting the constraints as scope, time and budget. Provide management and keep a consolidated view of the actual progress with respect to the reference baseline. Coordinate the data procurement.
Activities: Financial management and administrative management of the project will permanently envisage:
- Monitor the project implementation according to the schedule; Monitor and coordinate the technical activities implementation; Monitor the financial aspects of the project.
- Communication between parties and with ESA
- Reporting, Risk Management, Documents Management
- Project Information sharing and Communication Management activities:
- Elaboration of the web-portal concept, Web-portal design and implementation, System Maintenance, Information update on project development
Deliverables:
- Project Management Plan (PMP) - first delivery KO, upgrade delivery, CDR
- Minutes of Meetings (MoMs), Progress Reports (PRs), Configuration Items Data List (CIDL), Review Item Discrepancies (RIDs)
- Final Presentation (FP), Executive Summary (ES), Contract Closure Summary (CCS)

WP2: Quality Management
Objectives: Ensure that defined requirements (technical and management) are met.
Activities:
- project quality management planning and reporting
- assessment of quality of pre-developed items
- quality assurance for project deliverables and reporting
Deliverables:
- Quality and Assurance Plan
WP3: Definition of requirements and application scenario
Objectives: Selection of use cases and scenarios.
Activities:
- Selection of EO data sources (ERS/ASAR/S-1); Selection of additional sources of information (geological)
- Definition of requirements for
- Creation of EO collection database; Conversion of EO products into suitable format for PS network computation and scene dynamic and visualization
- Geocoding; Metadata extraction and temporal indexing and manipulation
- Integration and organization into database; Information retrieval and fast search
- Rendering and visualization (geographic positioning and visualization); Requirements for GUI; Requirement for processing chain

WP4: Algorithms analysis, concept design
Objectives:
- Identify the algorithms, methods and tools to be integrated into the application concept
- Definition of concept application and methodology
Activities:
- Analysis of SoA methodologies, algorithms and tools for:
- Geocoding and metadata extraction for EO products and temporal indexing
- Generation of PS interferograms; Generation of urban dynamics
- Creation of indexes and implementation of search and retrieval mechanisms
- Data representation and visualization
- Define GUI; Define verification plan

WP5: Algorithms implementation
Objectives:
- Integration of Application concept
Activities:
- Design, development and Implementation of software components to be integrated in the final application concept: Geocoding and metadata extraction for EO products and temporal indexing; Generation of PS interferograms; Generation of urban dynamics; Creation of indexes and implementation of search and retrieval mechanisms; Data representation and visualization

WP6: Application concept integration and verification
Objectives:
- Integration of Application concept

- System installation;User, software and DB links and interfaces; Integration of all software components and links to open source and third parties software tools (GAMMA).

WP7: Validation and Evaluation Methodology Definition
Objectives:
- Define test and validation methodology
Activities:
- Define testing approach and methodologies

WP8: Concept Evaluation and Validation
