Lect. Dr. Eng. Dragoş Ioan Săcăleanu

cv2.jpgDragoş Ioan SĂCĂLEANU (research) was born in Tîrgu Neamţ, Romania, on April 29, 1985. He received a Bachelor of Engineer in Electronics, Computer Systems Engineering in 2009 from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology and a Bachelor of Economic Sciences in Business in 2008 from Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of Commerce. In 2012, he received PhD in Electronics and Telecommunications from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest with the thesis “Reducing the energy consumption through data processing and transmission in wireless intelligent sensor networks”. Between 2009 and 2011, he performed a nine-month internship at the Politecnico di Torino, Italy, as a visiting PhD student in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, laboratory of Automated Measuring Systems.
Starting 2012, he has been a research engineer at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Research Center for Spatial Information (CeoSpaceTech). His research fields include wireless sensor networks, information theory and coding, signal processing, and sensors with applications mainly in the agricultural field, and it has materialized in national and international research projects.
Since 2015, he has been a lecturer at the Department of Applied Electronics and Information Engineering, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest. His teaching activity includes courses and laboratories in the field of Sensor Networks, Information Transmission in Wireless Networks, Programmable Electronic Systems, and Systems with Microprocessor.
In 2022 he received a 
Master of Ecological Horticulture Sciences at the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Faculty of Horticulture.
