Ressci.Dr. Corina Văduva

Photo VaduvaCorina VĂDUVA (research) received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electronics and telecommunications from the UPB, Romania, in 2007 and 2011, respectively. In 2010, she held a 6-month internship at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofe n, Germany, as a visiting Ph.D. student in the Remote Sensing Technology Institute. She is a research engineer with the Research Centre for Spatial Information, UPB since 2007. She took part in several research projects at national and international level. She was responsible for managing 2 ESA projects: “Open Source Image Retrieval – Integration of Developed Tools (OSIRIDE)” and “Data Mining for Analysis and exploitation of next generation of Time Series (DAMATS)”. Her research fields contains Earth Observation image processing and data mining based on information theory, information retrieval, data fusion, change detection, temporal analysis in image time series, and semantic annotation for very high resolution image understanding and interpretation. Corina Vaduva is member of IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society.
