Drd. Irina Petra Manciu

Irina Petra MANCIU (female) (U-1700-035T-4390) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc.. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the UPB, in 1997 and, respectively, in 1998. Following a 4-year period of activity as a research engineer in space applications during which she had first contact with IT field, Irina worked in IT industry for the next 10 years. Having an extensive work experience and specialization in that area, she managed various IT projects involving: networking requirements evaluation, definition of decisional criteria, coordination and information correlation for sites integration, design of hardware and software infrastructure. Irina also had training in database administration and networking technologies, currently holding Cisco CCNA, CCDA and working on her CCNP, CCDP. In 2012, returning in the space applications domain at Romanian Space Agency as a network specialized engineer, Irina continued to work in research projects related to IT software and hardware infrastructure. Her work within UPB-CeoSpaceTech initiated during a 2-year M.Sc. in Electronics, Telecomunications and Information Technology from Politehnica University of Bucharest (graduated in 2019) with a particular interest in networks architecture applied to network of sensors and IoT systems, evolution of these in AI era with relation to big data and data processing. During M.Sc. Electronics studies, she co-authored 3 papers at international conferences on the topic. She will be part of the activities of design and develop WSN and in charge with test case design and data validation based on WSN requirements.
